What If I Don't Like the Cover Preview?

By the Fablewish team Β· Updated November 3, 2026

In short: Then you don't order. The cover preview is free and comes before you pay: you can look at several cover options, try a different photo, or simply close the page. Nothing is charged until you decide to order. If you do order and the printed book has a printing defect or shows a different name than you entered, we reprint it free of charge.

Before you pay: three things you can do

  1. See more covers. After the first preview, tap "See more covers" to look at other cover options for your child.
  2. Try another photo. A sharper, front-facing daylight photo often makes a big difference. See which photo works best.
  3. Don't order. No preview is ever charged, and the photo and preview are deleted automatically within 30 days.

What the preview shows – and what it doesn't

The preview shows the cover with your child. The inside pages are illustrated after you order, in the same style. Small differences from the photo – hairstyle, clothing – are part of the artistic interpretation; your child stays recognizable.

After you order

Because every book is illustrated and printed for one child, personalized books are final sale. But our promise holds: if your book arrives damaged, has a printing defect or shows a name or dedication different from what you entered, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we reprint it free of charge – or refund you if you prefer.
