E-Book or Printed Book? Which Personalized Format to Choose

In short: The e-book ($12.99) is a PDF sent by email as a download link – no shipping, read on any tablet, phone or computer. The printed book (paperback $34.90, hardcover $44.90) is the keepsake your child can hold, printed by our US print partner and shipped free within the US in about 2–3 weeks. Both show your child as the hero on every page. Can't decide? Add the e-book to a printed book for $7.99.

When the e-book makes sense

• The gift is soon. The e-book needs no shipping. It's illustrated after you order; we don't promise a delivery time, but there's no printing or mail involved.
• Family lives far away. Send the download link by email – no postage.
• Travel and car rides. The story is on the tablet.

When the printed book is better

• Bedtime. Turning real pages is part of the ritual.
• A keepsake. A hardcover with a dedication lasts for years.
• Something to unwrap on a birthday or Christmas morning.

Best of both: printed book + e-book

In the cart, add the e-book to any printed book for $7.99. Read it on a tablet right away, keep the printed copy forever. For Christmas, we recommend ordering printed books by November 30 – see our Christmas order deadlines.
