Will It Arrive by Christmas? Our 2026 Order Deadlines
In short: For a printed Fablewish book to arrive before Christmas, we recommend ordering by November 30, 2026. Every book is printed to order and usually arrives in about 2–3 weeks (12–15 business days) with free shipping within the US. After that date, delivery before Christmas gets less likely – the e-book ($12.99) needs no shipping and is sent by email as a download link.
Because every book is made just for your child, it isn't sitting in a warehouse. It's illustrated, printed by our US print partner and then shipped. That takes a little time – and in December, the mail is busier than at any other time of the year.
Our Christmas order dates 2026
| You order… | What to expect |
|---|---|
| By November 30 | Recommended for printed books (paperback and hardcover) to arrive before Christmas |
| December 1 and later | A printed book may arrive after Christmas – we can't guarantee holiday delivery |
| Any time | The e-book needs no shipping – it's sent by email as a download link |
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Thanksgiving week (November 23–27) and December can slow down the mail, so earlier is always safer.
Why does a personalized book take 2–3 weeks?
- Illustration: after you order, every page is illustrated with your child.
- Check: we check every page before printing.
- Printing: our US print partner prints and binds your book.
- Shipping: it's sent to your door with free US shipping, and you get a tracking link by email.
Ordering late? Three options
- Choose the e-book ($12.99). No shipping – it's sent by email as a download link. Read it together on a tablet.
- Give a "coming soon" card. Save a picture of the cover preview, put it in a card – and the printed book follows after Christmas.
- Combine both. Add the e-book to a printed book in your cart for $7.99 – read it on Christmas, keep the hardcover forever.
