Personalized Book for a Child Afraid of the Dark
In short: Lights Up the Night is a personalized bedtime book for children ages 3–7 who are afraid of the dark. The Great Star has gone dark – and only your child can make it shine again. Your child is illustrated from one photo, with their name on every page. Free cover preview before you pay; from $34.90, free US shipping.
When the light goes off, the dark can feel huge. Many children between two and six go through a phase of being afraid of it. A story where they are the brave one – the one who brings the light back – gives them a picture of themselves they can hold on to at bedtime.
The story
The Great Star above the Kingdom of Lumeria has gone dark. With Pip, a little silver fox, your child sets off across rainbow bridges, through starlit forests and up a crystal tower – and makes the star shine again. The night isn't scary anymore: it's full of stars, friends and adventure. The book ends with a calm "goodnight, brave one" – perfect as the last story of the day.
Why it helps at bedtime
- Your child is the hero. Seeing their own face being brave in the dark is a powerful picture to fall asleep with.
- The dark becomes beautiful. Stars, moonlight and a friendly fox instead of monsters.
- A calm ending. The story winds down, so it fits into a bedtime routine.
- Something to talk about: "What would you take on your night adventure?"
